Leadership

Sole ID on SNOO following fuseproject's original concept work. Partnered with ME team on first-batch production issues, then scaled the platform across hardware, safety, packaging, documentation, and ecosystem expansion. Managed US and China vendor relationships and led cross-functional teams to deliver the intended UX across hardware and software.

Problem

New parents face severe sleep disruption, inconsistent soothing routines, and anxiety around infant sleep safety. Traditional bassinets offer little active support, leaving parents to repeatedly intervene throughout the night without clear behavioral insight or meaningful feedback.
At the same time, infant sleep and crying behaviors represent valuable developmental signals, yet most of that information is lost or reduced to imperfect parental recollection. There was an opportunity not only to create a better sleep product, but to build a connected platform that could support families more effectively while also contributing to broader clinical and behavioral understanding.

Approach

SNOO was originally initiated prior to my time at Happiest Baby and was inherited in its early stages, where it required substantial refinement, maturation, and expansion to reach its full commercial and ecosystem potential. My role focused on helping evolve the platform through safety-critical updates, product refinement, packaging, documentation, photography, and broader system extensions across consumer, medical, and retail contexts.
Rather than treating the bassinet as a standalone object, the platform was developed as a broader connected ecosystem that could extend into accessories, hospital applications, retail environments, and future developmental insight opportunities. This required balancing infant comfort, technical integration, manufacturability, safety, and long-term product architecture across multiple use cases and stakeholders.

Outcome

SNOO launched as a commercially successful connected bassinet platform and grew into a category-defining product ecosystem used by families, hospitals, and major retail partners. The result was a scaled hardware platform that helped establish Happiest Baby as a market leader, contributed to $150M+ in attributed revenue, and earned major industry recognition including Red Dot and IDEA awards.

Business Context

Storyboarding was used throughout development to communicate UX scenarios, unboxing experiences, setup flows, and hospital deployment contexts across the team.
